Membership

A strong squadron depends on strong relationships.

Growth is not simply about numbers — it is about belonging. Whether you've owned a boat for forty years or are signing up for your first course, there is a place for you here.

What you get

What membership includes.

Members of Galveston Bay Sail & Power Squadron are also members of America's Boating Club and the United States Power Squadrons. That means three layers of benefits — local, district, and national.

Local

Reduced or free admission to squadron classes and seminars. Saturday members' meetings at Stein Hall. On-water rendezvous, raft-ups, and member-only social events on Galveston Bay.

District 21

Spring and Fall conferences hosted across the Texas Gulf — workshops, prizes, the District Meeting, and a chance to meet boaters from other squadrons.

National

America's Boating Club member resources, reciprocal events at squadrons across the country, and recognized education credentials that travel with you.

Dues

Family Membership dues.

Annual dues support classroom space, instructor materials, vessel safety check supplies, the Bay Breeze newsletter, and outreach events. The yearly family membership total is itemized below.

Sea Scouts: discounted membership may be available for Sea Scouts. Email treasurer@americasboatingclubgalvestonbay.org for more details.

How to join

Three steps. No surprises.

  1. Come visit

Attend a Saturday meeting or take a course. There's no pressure to join on the first visit — we want you to know whether this is a good fit for you and your family.

  2. Apply

Fill out the short application below. A bridge officer will reach out to answer questions and pair you with a member who shares your interests on the water.

  3. Pay dues
